Day 1: Colombo → Trincomalee

  • 5:00 AM – 5:30 AM: Departure from Colombo
  • 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Breakfast stop in Dambulla
  • 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Dambulla Cave Temple visit
  • 1:30 PM: Arrive Trincomalee → Check-in
  • 3:30 PM: Koneswaram Temple & Lover's Leap
  • 5:00 PM: Fort Frederick
  • Evening: Relax at Uppuveli Beach
  • Overnight: Trincomalee

Day 2: Trincomalee

  • 8:30 AM: Boat to Pigeon Island National Park (snorkeling)
  • 12:00 PM: Lunch by the beach
  • 2:00 PM: Kanniya Hot Wells
  • 3:00 PM: Marble Beach
  • 5:00 PM: Sunset at Nilaveli
  • Evening: Free time / seafood dinner
  • Overnight: Trincomalee (2nd night)

Day 3: Trincomalee → Batticaloa

  • 8:00 AM: Depart Trinco
  • 11:00 AM: Batticaloa Fort
  • 12:30 PM: Lunch
  • 2:00 PM: Kallady Bridge & Singing Fish area
  • 3:00 PM: St. Mary’s Cathedral
  • 4:00 PM: Pasikudah Beach
  • 4:30 PM: Check-in & beach time
  • Evening: Sunset walk
  • Overnight: Batticaloa / Pasikudah

Day 4: Pasikudah → Arugam Bay

  • Morning: Relax at Pasikudah / optional Kayankerni snorkeling
  • 11:00 AM: Leave for Arugam Bay
  • 2:30 PM: Arrive → Check-in
  • 4:00 PM: Peanut Farm Beach
  • 5:30 PM: Sunset at Elephant Rock
  • Evening: Cafés / nightlife
  • Overnight: Arugam Bay

Day 5: Arugam Bay → Kumana Safari

  • 5:00 AM: Leave for Kumana
  • 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Kumana National Park Safari (birds, elephants, leopards)
  • 12:00 PM: Return to hotel
  • 2:00 PM: Kudumbigala Monastery
  • 4:00 PM: Muhudu Maha Viharaya
  • Evening: Free time in A-Bay
  • Overnight: Arugam Bay (2nd night)

Day 6: Arugam Bay → Lahugala – Gal Oya → Arugam Bay

  • 7:00 AM: Visit Lahugala National Park (elephants by the lake)
  • 10:00 AM: Leave for Gal Oya National Park
  • 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM: Boat safari on Senanayake Samudraya (famous swimming elephants)
  • 3:30 PM: Local village or viewpoint
  • Evening: Relax in Arugam Bay
  • Overnight: Arugam Bay

Day 7: Arugam Bay → Yala → Tangalle → Colombo

  • 5:00 AM: Depart from Arugam Bay to Yala
  • 7:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Yala National Park Safari ( Possibility of spotting leopards, elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles )
  • 11:30 AM: Proceed to Tangalle
  • 1:00 PM: Lunch stop in Tangalle
  • 2:00 PM: Enter Southern Expressway (E01) towards Colombo
  • 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM: Arrive back in Colombo
